We have immediate openings for CNC Machinists. Our Machining Department houses, Okuma, Haas, Mazak, and Bullova CNC Equipment. Multi-axis Machining experience a plus. Job Summary: Perform machine setup and hands-on machining using CNC milling machines and lathes Review blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate parts Set up and operate CNC machines and related equipment to include choosing and loading appropriate tools and fixtures. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines. Run programs, perform measurements, and make adjustments as necessary to meet specifications and standards. Diagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs. Calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining master production schedules, prioritizing jobs, and analyzing capacity requirements. Candidate will be required to work with and have an open line of communication with SDMI’s Management Team and Staff, while conducting themself in a professional manner. This individual will be required to meet with customers, prospective customers, suppliers, and future/current team members. Job Summary: The Production Manager will be expected to provide leadership in our CNC Machine Shop while creating, developing, and managing production schedules, all while working closely in a team environment to establish and meet the company’s production goals.
